“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5

Today another incident at the farm.
A little sweet lamb had many larvae from a type of fly that will sit and lay her eggs on an animal that has any open wound. After the farmers wife came for a visit and called us to watch the lamb being cared for, a thought came to mind and I had to share it with you. You see that open wound was there just waiting to be healed by the fresh air and the sunshine however an evil fly came in and laid her tons of eggs on that animal. Doesn’t it make you also think about an evil one in our lives too?  Sometimes when we are hurt either by words or by dreams or plans that never came true or didn’t work, we also feel hurt and wounded. Satan then sees that as an opportunity  to sow seeds of discouragement or discontentment or
Disagreement....it’s like tru our wounds he makes it worst... in Portuguese we say “ cutuca na ferida que está aberta” he sows those seeds in a hurting heart and causes that wound to get deeper and causes even more hurt, isn’t it?

But doesn’t the Bible says:
“ And with his stripes we are healed”( Isaiah 53:5)

What about Jesus ? How much more was He hurt to save us? Think about that

And I haven’t been writing for almost 2 months.
The longer summer days are here and the hours seem to run... here at 10 pm
Is still bright outside and at 4:30am the sun is already rising at least for this month.
There’s life in the lofty mountains now covered in a green pasture that before was yellowish. The sun warms our days and gives us the so needed vitamin D. It also gives warmth to the vegetable garden my daddy helped me to plant. I’ll send pictures and share a little bit of our outdoor days.
On the pictures you’ll see Lily’s first time on a plane, my daddy driving on the right side, my sister Michele in London with daddy, the children with Luke on vacation in Portugal, my no cheese cheese bread made with sweet potatoes recipe on @ 8adayIreland on Instagram, visiting with my middle sister Tatiana and her family...Tamaris our dear German friend and finally us at church.

It’s always better when we are together! The L Family
