The Best of all week! :)

Isaiah 58:13 and 14  " 13  If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the  Lord , honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14  Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord ; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the   Lord   hath spoken it." Woke up today with a beautiful blue sky and the sunshine! If you live in England you know that days like this are rare even during summer but God can do what we can't and I just praise His name for sending the sun to shine through my window!! Today is the 15 of month 6 so I opened my bible at the book of John and turned to chapter 15 and read through verse 1-6 One time I told a "children story" at church about it and I had a withered leaf and a branch

Being Confident

Image
I have found the best encouragement I could ask for this morning as I opened the pages of the precious word of God! "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"( Philippians 1:6) "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."( Romans 12:2) Man, fallen man , may be transformed by the renewing of the mind, so that he can "prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." How does he prove this? By the Holy Spirit taking possession of his mind, spirit, heart and character. Where does the proving come in? "We are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels and to men"( 1 Co 4:9 just the end). Besetting( trouble, temptations or difficulties)sins are overcome, evil thoughts are not allowed in the mind, evil habits are

Ups and downs, really?

Image
You know after I wrote the last post we came home and during family worship we read: Those who are unwilling to forsake every sin and to seek earnestly for God’s blessing, will not obtain it. But all who will lay hold of God’s promises as did Jacob, and be as earnest and persevering as he was, will succeed as he succeeded. “Shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.” Luke 18:7, 8. – {PP 203.2} Forsake? What does this word means? So I should abandon every sin! And it includes yelling at my children, loosing my temper, lacking of love...  All the above and plus all that makes my heart ache as I talk to God!! Children are so precious and I sure won't have them forever so I don't have to waste my time with ups an downs but I can and should earnestly seek for God's help and guidance in every word I say and every action I take because I know that it's weighting on me! I can

Ups and downs!

Image
Thursday the clean up day! What if you don't feel like doing it! I guess we are so tired from yesterday's cleaning that today we just didn't have enough energy and were not willing to clean! And besides I saw that Logan is having a bad day and so am I! Motherhood also has ups and down, somedays are smoother while others are harder and that's when you need encouragements!!  Well after doing our normal routine and homeschool was over we went to the stores to donate yesterday's stuff! And guess what?  It was raining!! Like my hometown in Brazil, Curitiba here in England is not different and there's 4 seasons in one day!!  Here's our afternoon And for sunny afternoons and little girls smiles And for the beautiful flowers that are here and there And everywhere For swings And playgrounds And for little seeds between sweet little boys fingers  That will become huge Trees; and we look so little compared to the work of God's hands!! And yet He still speaks to us!

Clean up

Image
Today is only Wednesday and is on Thursday the clean up day but we decided to clean up all the extra stuff from the house! With the summer daylight hours longer we stay up 'till late and around 9pm the kids go to bed and it means that I'm not ready to sleep 'till 11pm and then we just can't wake up at 6am the next morning, children usually at 7am. Here's our fruit salad for today: It was so good because I used my favorite fruits: one mango, shredded coconut, one full pomegranate and one shredded apple plus almonds and walnuts crushed!  Yummy! Since my husband is still on the juice diet, day 15 today, so proud of him, I'm glad he didn't stay for breakfast as he would be so tempted to eat it! Cleaning up was fun specially because today was such a rainy day! We cleaned the bookshelf and I really discarded all the books we are not using!  This neat idea I learned at Pinterest Toilet paper rolls as pen holders!  Not content with making a mess w

Children's Devotionals

Image
I really want to share with you the devotionals we use to read in the afternoon! I used to do it as an early morning devotional for them but it didn't work for me! Here's http://www.gracelink.net/ For my son I click on the primary and for my daughter we use the kindergarten! Here's the primary lesson and what we have learned so far: After listening to the story Logan and Larissa decided to build an altar just like Elijah: Look at what Jeremiah 33:3 says: And this is what Larissa's lesson says: Romans 8:38-39 38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So grateful for God's love for me!! It was a blessing to study it on a park surrounded by nature! I'm really thankful for Internet and

A true talk!

Image
At lunch time as the children and I were chatting about the world's situation today and how it was years and years ago, I just briefly said: -"Jesus is coming back again soon" Surprising me Larissa answered: -" Mommy, I really want Him to come before you die" Larissa is only 4 years old!  I just answered: - "Me too" How I long to see my Savior!!!! This picture is only a glimpse.... " Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." ( Revelation 1:7)

Finding joy in my afternoon!

Image
Afternoon is usually a time when I'm anxious waiting for my husband to get home. It has been like that for a few years now! But today at 7pm instead of doing our normal getting ready to sleep routine we decided to go for a "rabbit spy". At the library I met a mom that told me about spying the rabbits after 6pm! I remember seeing the rabbits when going out running but haven't done spying with my children!! Oh how fun!! I truly appreciate the words of that mom! Perhaps we saw a few rabbits but the memories we kept are more than many!!  The life treasures are usually found where we least expect it!! A simple smile, a little laugh, a brotherly love caring for the sister that doesn't want to get hurt in the thorns! That's more than expected! That's God's love for us!!  May we love each other as brothers and sisters and care each others burdens!!  Kindly  Lucy :)  Ps.: Look at the neighbor we found on our way back home:
