Friday- The Preparation Day

Image
Good Morning, 7 of June my calendar says Pray for my children  Today I started reading  Praying about that! I also read Chapter 7 of " The incredible Power of Prayer" by Roger Morneau, powerful book!  I'm thankful for the ability to be able to pray and pray for others knowing that Jesus is listening and interceding for the people I'm praying! God is good and He answer prayers!!! The same power that upholds nature, is working also in man.... The laws that govern the heart’s action, regulating the flow of the current of life to the body, are the laws of the mighty Intelligence that has the jurisdiction of the soul. The unity of man with nature and with God, the universal dominion of law, the results of transgression, cannot fail of impressing the mind and molding the character. – {FLB 164.6}( The Faith I live by, Ellen White) I was encouraged by reading it today: so true My son is up now and is time for his devotionals.  Like I wrote up there today is the preparation da

Coconut Oil

Image
I have been using coconut oil in a few recipes but seriously now I must try to use it in everything! I also like to use it in my skin and when my kids were babies and had diaper rash coconut oil was what used to use.  Coconut oil has many health benefits which are attributed to the presence of lauric acid. When it is present in the body, lauric acid is converted into monolaurin, a compound that is highly toxic to viruses, bacteria, funguses and other microorganisms because of its ability to disrupt their lipid membranes and virtually destroy them. Monolaurin is effective for treating candida albicans, fungal infections and athlete's foot. It also targets bacterial infections and viruses like measles, influenza, hepatitis C and even HIV. In fact, researchers from the Philippines are studying the effectiveness of lauric acid against HIV/AIDS due to its strong anti-viral properties. Moreover, lauric acid is non-toxic, making it a better alternative to modern drugs that are typically p

June 5 was a long and marvelous day though it didn't finish early and sometimes I wish we didn't have to sleep so we could keep on learning... My sweet husband learned how to do preserves! Here goes the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKnWi6A-G5Y&noredirect=1 Also the strawberries jam from yesterday he also learned on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=Fv_LrK7nqWc This morning I read my devotionals from This Day with God from Ellen White:  We are not our own property. We have become servants of Christ by grace. We are the purchase of the blood of the Son of God.  You have not a trouble, perplexity, or difficulty which did not press with equal weight upon the Son of God; not a sorrow to which His heart was not equally exposed. His feelings were hurt as easily as yours. Again the life and character of Christ were faultless. God has given us a perfect, faultless pattern. God designed to make of you an able, efficient workman. The mind H

There's joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents( Luke 15:10). Started my day with a devotional called " That I may know Him" from Ellen White: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13. – {TMK 162.1} A stately form of worship and high devotional ceremonies do not constitute a light to the world, and yet truth that is looked upon and admired in the same way as a beautiful picture or lovely flower, and not brought into the inner sanctuary of the soul, is thought by many to be all that is required in a worshiper.... – {TMK 162.2} Christ is the author and finisher of our faith, and when we yield to His hand we shall steadily grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour.  Through the agency of the Holy Spirit the character is transformed and the mind and will of the human agent are br

Today is the day 2 of my juice diet! Not bad because I was really feeling hungry yesterday and now I'm fine... It's hard to cook for the children and not eat but I can see a different disposition and attitude and my thoughts are clearer! The children said they want to try the juice diet too but as soon as they see bread they can't help but eat!  This is the friend we got on the bathroom today! Never thought that places with cold weather would have creatures like this one!! Oh well we live and we learn! This is Logan and Pêlo his teddy bear that likes to travel with us!

June 2- Bread For Life?

Image
It's written: " Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." ( Matthew 4:4) Yesterday I decided to start a juice diet with my husband and  we did it! after watching the documentary on  http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/ We were ready to give it a try! My husband is already on day 5 but I said I would try for 3 days... We had a hair cut! It was the day I decided to cut my own hair and Larissa's hair. Here's where I learned I few tips and I can't forget that before I cut my daughter's hair I asked God knowledge to do the best! http://youtu.be/jz56PUkB2dM  Luke and Logan went to the barber shop! It was really not that hard and after buying my own scissors I felt so proud of doing it myself! Larissa was happy with her hair and it made my day!

June first was the seventh day of the week! Precious sabbath and we went for a walk, a nature walk! We were gazing at the beautiful blue sky and the green grass that covers the earth like a carpet and thanking God for His gifts to us that are another proof of His love! As we saw a wheat field! What a joy!! And as we walked thru it we saw some dandelions that we blow with a prayer for someone and a few thorns and prickles... But the vast green was enormous and a comparison came to my mind:"life is like that vast green field and sometimes there's thorns in our way and dandelions but we must choose to go thru the thorns without murmuring and complaint and be thankful or the dandelions that will remind us to pray or we can stop by every little prickle and be afraid to hurt ourselves in the road of life! The bible is my favorite book and it's written:  When I'm afraid I'll trust in you" (Psalm 56:3)
