Ten Days of Prayer

1 Timothy 2:1-6
 “ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

Prayer is the breath of the soul. It is the secret of spiritual power. No other means of grace can be substituted and the health of the soul be preserved. Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Wellspring of life, and strengthens the sinew and muscle of the religious experience( Messages to Young People 249,250, Ellen White)

Prayer, Faith, and Promises (1John 5:14-15)
Faith is an essential element of prevailing prayer. . . . [Read Hebrews 11:6 and 1 John 5:14, 15.] With the persevering faith of Jacob, with the unyielding persistence of Elijah, we may present our petitions to the Father, claiming all that He has promised. The honor of His throne is staked for the fulfillment of His word. (Prophets and Kings, pp. 157, 158)

One early morning as I couldn’t sleep anymore I started to look at the messages on my phone when I felt a strong impression that I should write something for the children regarding to the Ten Days of Prayer that would start in 2 days from the 8-18 of January  and so I prayed and asked for God’s guidance. As I started to read the Ten Days of Prayer a lot of ideas where flooding my mind and I started to write it in my notes on the phone. I believe that in one hour I had read and written a small version of the ten days of prayer for kids so I went to the webpage and searched for an email but couldn’t find so I just sent a request for a question and prayed that God would get that email sent to the right person so that more kids could come closer to Christ! I started thinking about my own children and the children from our small church where I teach sabbath school !
A few hours later I received an email asking for what I wanted to share and  I shared the simple things I have written and they posted in the Ten Days of Prayer page and now they’re looking for people that could share their testimony about it and here was mine.

So here’s the first day of prayer how I started and  also sharing the page with the edited one they posted.

  • ACTS 1:8, NLT
  • Go for a nature walk and listen to the birds, observe the grass, find some moss and thank God for His creation.
  • Paul once asked 12 men from Ephesus, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” (Acts 19:2, NLT). How would you answer? The Ephesian men said, “No, we have not even heard of the Holy Spirit.”
  • Romans 8:16—When the Holy Spirit comes among us, we will confess our sins and receive the gift of salvation through Jesus. We will have assurance of salvation because we are children of God.
