A little late

Today I woke at 8:00am. Later than usual and I rather wake up earlier and spend time with Jesus alone but today it was different so I read my devotional taken from " The Faith I Live By" Ellen White

Men and nations are being measured by the plummet in the hand of Him who makes no mistake. All are by their own choice deciding their destiny, and God is overruling all for the accomplishment of His purposes. – {FLB 168.3}
All that prophecy has foretold as coming to pass, until the present time, has been traced on the pages of history, and we may be assured that all which is yet to come will be fulfilled in its order.... – {FLB 168.5}
We need to study the working out of God’s purpose in the history of nations and in the revelation of things to come, that we may estimate at their true value things seen and things unseen; that we may learn what is the true aim of life; that, viewing the things of time in the light of eternity, we may put them to their truest and noblest use. – {FLB 168.6}

I like to have breakfast at 9:00am in order to have lunch at 3:00 and that's our last meal but since today we finished eating at 10:00 we most likely will have lunch/dinner around 4:00 pm!! And for breakfast here's
Today I used flaxseed and walnuts and here's what I learned about flaxseed:
Some call it one of the most powerful plant foods on the planet. There’s some evidence it may help reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes. That’s quite a tall order for a tiny seed that’s been around for centuries.

Most plant foods contain at least small amounts of phytonutrients called lignans. Lignans are unique fiber-related polyphenols that provide us with antioxidant benefits, fiber-like benefits, and also act as phytoestrogens. Among all commonly eaten foods, researchers now rank flaxseeds as the #1 source of lignans in human diets. Flaxseeds contain about 7 times as many lignans as the closest runner-up food (sesame seeds). They contain about 338 times as many lignans as sunflower seeds, 475 times as many as cashew nuts, and 3,200 times as many lignans as peanuts.
When we think about antioxidant-rich foods, the first foods that come to mind are typically vegetables and fruits. Of course, foods in both of these food groups can be outstanding sources of antioxidants! Yet according to recent research, flaxseeds also belong high up on our list of antioxidant-rich foods. When flaxseeds are compared with other commonly eaten foods in terms of their total polyphenol content (polyphenols are one very important group of antioxidants), flaxseeds rank 9th among 100 commonly eaten foods. Flaxseeds turn out to be significantly higher in polyphenol antioxidants than fruits like blueberries or vegetables like olives. The antioxidant benefits of flaxseeds have long been associated with prevention of cardiovascular diseases and have recently also been tied to decreased insulin resistance.

There's just so much to be said about flaxseed that I could use a whole page!! We use it in the cereal, in our fruit salad or with our nut milk, in breads, cookies and every recipe! But REMEMBER it needs to be crushed/powdered in order to be absorbed in our body!! So blend it well!!
And here's our nut milk:
I used walnuts and almonds 1 cup of the nuts combined for 1 liter of water( add some boiling water and mix with cold water)! Some honey, date syrup and a little bit of vanilla, blend on the vitamix or any other blender for 3-5 minutes and is ready!! Delicious!!

Time for school now!
The character quality for this week's lesson is HONESTY!
We are learning from http://www.sonlighteducation.com/
It's a free curriculum and is a blessing!!
In the nature part of our study is about insects and the head of an insect:
I truly wanted to teach my children how to read just after 7 years old so now I'm just telling the letters and sounds and reading lots of books! Got to separate a time daily just for reading! Here's the free curriculum I got online and we're only on day 3:

2:15pm is story time at the library! Every Tuesday!
