The Best of all week! :)

Isaiah 58:13 and 14
"13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in theLord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it."

Woke up today with a beautiful blue sky and the sunshine! If you live in England you know that days like this are rare even during summer but God can do what we can't and I just praise His name for sending the sun to shine through my window!!

Today is the 15 of month 6 so I opened my bible at the book of John and turned to chapter 15 and read through verse 1-6

One time I told a "children story" at church about it and I had a withered leaf and a branch and then I compared that the one in the branch was still green however the one that left the branch had withered and died!! And that's the same in our lives! If we are not abiding in Christ we will be sad and irritated and frustrated!

"Jesus must dwell in the heart and His life must circulate through us as the blood circulates through the veins. His spirit must be vocalizing power that will cause is to influence others to become Christlike and holy." ( Letter 43, 1895)
Until the heart is surrendered unconditionally to God, the human agent is not abiding in the true Vine. No conversion is genuine which does not change both the character and te conduct of those who accept the truth. The truth works by love, and purifieth the soul.( Letter 31a, 1894)

Everything good in men and women is the fruit of the working of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit teaches us to reveal righteousness in our lives. The greatest work that can be done in our world is to glorify God by living the character of Christ. God will make perfect only those who will die to self. Those who are willing to do this can say, " I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me" MS 16, 1900)

May we abide in the True Vine today!!
The branches in the True Vine are the believers who are brought into oneness by connection with the Vine.
In Christ Alone!!

On our way to church:
And this is the part that I enjoy the most about England:
Just on our way and close to home we see so much green and the sky today is painted with God's glory!! In such a small country there's still so much land!!
We were invited to have lunch with a very special family and look at what's waiti for us!!!

Seventh Day Adventist are the BEST family I could have asked God!!
Happy Sabbath :)
Lucy

At night as I read the book called "Steps to Christ" I found this:
Do you ask; "How am I to abide in Christ?" In the same way as you received Him at first. "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him." "The just shall live by faith." Colossians 2:6; Hebrews 10:38. You gave yourself to God, to be His wholly, to serve and obey Him, and you took Christ as your Savior. You could not yourself atone for your sins or change your heart; but having given yourself to God, you believe that He for Christ's sake did all this for YOU. By faith you become Christ's, and by faith you are to grow in Him- by giving and taking. You are to give all- your heart, your will, your service- give yourself to Him to obey all His requirements; and you must take all- Christ the fulness of all blessing, to abide in your heart, to be you strenght, your righteousness, your everlasting helper- to give you POWER to OBEY.( Steps to Christ, page 69)
