“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with  his stripes we are healed .” Isaiah 53:5 Today another incident at the farm.  A little sweet lamb had many larvae from a type of fly that will sit and lay her eggs on an animal that has any open wound. After the farmers wife came for a visit and called us to watch the lamb being cared for, a thought came to mind and I had to share it with you. You see that open wound was there just waiting to be healed by the fresh air and the sunshine however an evil fly came in and laid her tons of eggs on that animal. Doesn’t it make you also think about an evil one in our lives too?  Sometimes when we are hurt either by words or by dreams or plans that never came true or didn’t work, we also feel hurt and wounded. Satan then sees that as an opportunity  to sow seeds of discouragement or discontentment or Disagreement....it’s like tru our...

A time to Rest and Reflect

Image
To  every  thing there is  a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:( Eclesiastes 3:1) I begun to write this post three weeks ago so I’ll try to remember and share what we have been doing since then. It has been almost a month.  As we went for our nature walk close to the house  I took the time to reflect and think !!  I’m trying to stay away from my phone during the day. Trying to use it only in the mornings when the kids are still sleeping.  As we went for a walk that week I enjoyed my empty hands to hold God’s   little treasures that Lance found in nature and I also took the time to lay down in the grass and look at the sky and just relax. I looked closely to the grass and started to observe things as a small child would do it. As I sat baby Lily near me I tried to see with her eyes... I looked around and saw our dogs very preoccupied with the kids, they couldn’t rest for a while and enjoy their time they had thei...

A Lesson from the Farmer

Image
Here in Ireland farms are what you see the most!! We are now living on a farm and I've been experiencing the work of a farmer. I'm now begin to understand better Psalm 23. From what I’m learning the farmer confronts with strong winds on the winter time and cold rainy days to feed and watch for the sheep and cattle. Now is spring time and it’s also lambing season so I find the farmer helping the sheep and cattle to deliver their offsprings and many times find the little lambs killed by the fox or the farmer sometimes can find a sheep entangled by the thorns on her way and a bird crow has eaten the animals’s eyes even when it’s still alive!!! Oh the life of the farmer!!! Filled with struggles and cares and yet the farmer remains in peace of mind! He uses his voice to talk to his children and when he yells he’s yelling at the animals!! That’s the best that I’ve learned. Animals of the farm are for yelling and children are for talking in a loving tone of voice!!! The life o...
